Craven Cottage doesn’t feel like most Premier League grounds. Tucked by the Thames with its odd old pavilion, it has charm but little menace. As a Brighton fan, you can breathe here the Fulham crowd are polite, almost too polite, more theatre-goers than warriors.

Craven Cottage is less fortress, more riverside picnic with goalposts. Perched on the Thames, it feels like the only Premier League ground where you might be offered a glass of wine with your programme.
The quirky old pavilion still clings on, a reminder that football once looked more like village cricket. Fulham fans are polite, their chants drifting more than booming, and the atmosphere has a genteel edge compared to most grounds.
But that’s the charm: it’s civilised, old-fashioned, and completely different. When the away end erupts, it feels like gate-crashing a garden party loud, chaotic, and utterly satisfying.
